Symposium B-3
New Development in Material Researches Driven by Data, Calculation, and AI Robot

Scope

In recent years, it has become possible to predict a huge number of new material candidates through material exploration using AI. In addition, use of autonomous robots to synthesize and explore these candidate materials in a short period of time have been started. Based on this background, this symposium will focus on new developments in material development using these methods (data-driven, computation-driven, AI robot-driven, materials informatics, high-throughput material synthesis and evaluation, materials digitalization).

Topics

  • data/calculation/AI robot- driven
  • Materials informatics
  • High-throughput materials synthesis and evaluation
  • Materials DX

Invited Speakers

  • Pol Torres Alvarez, Eurecat, Technology Centre of Catalonia: Graph Neural Network-Based Surrogate Model of Finite-Element Heat Transfer Simulations
  • Toshiaki Tsuji, Saitama Univ.: Imitation Learning of Contact-Rich Tasks for Automation
  • Toshihiko Shimizu, Kobe City College of Technology: Touch-Driven Intelligence: Experimental Knowledge through Embodied Robotics
  • Kanta Ono, The University od Osaka: Data Driven and Robotic Autonomous Experimentation for Materials Discovery
